Treat Worms as Well as Blastocystis 20 June 2016

In Australia, up until 2 years ago we diagnosed parasites with microscopy. We hardly found any. Then we changed to using DNA probes and we have found what many expected all along…an epidemic of pathogenic intestinal protozoa.
But we only use DNA probes for 5 protozoa and no worms. The worm probes are coming but now I routinely treat for worms whenever I treat protozoa.
I recommend ivermectin.
I use it in my cows.
Good enough for my cows, good enough for me.
