Only Consume Meat From Grass Fed Animals 8 May 2010

A study published in the March 2010 edition of Nutrition Journal has reviewed the significant nutritional composition of grass fed versus grain fed meat. Meat from grass fed animals is low in mycotoxins, high in the anti-cancer CLA, has more omega-3 fatty acids, increases anti-oxidant glutathione levels and does not have the same cholesterol raising effect than grain fed meat does.

Take home message: Having been a vegetarian for over 20 years and 5 of those as a vegan, I now choose to include some organic grass fed meat in my diet. I do not eat meat form grain fed animals. Animals are meant to eat grass, not corn and wheat.
