C677T Mutation in Methylation Increases Risk of Recurrent Miscarriage 11 December 2012

Women with a mutation in this gene are unable to convert folic acid to it’s active methyl tetra hydrofolate form. Recurrent miscarriage is one of the potential outcomes. This mutation can be suggested by a high homocysteine level on a blood test and confirmed by genetic testing.
