Serotonin is a neurotransmitter. Low levels are associated with depression and anxiety.
Low levels can be increased by:
Vitamin B6 (P5P converts 5HTP to serotonin)
SAMe and methionine are the most effective.
This is especially so in people who under-methylate (don’t donate enough methyl groups).
SAMe and methionine are methyl donors.
